Invitation

Translation is a fundamental process of gene expression, linking genetic information to cellular function. Recent advances in experimental and computational technologies have revealed that translational regulation is far more dynamic, diverse, and context-dependent than previously appreciated. These insights have expanded our view of protein diversity and challenged conventional boundaries of coding potential, prompting a renewed understanding of how genetic information is interpreted in cells.

The 23rd Takeda Science Foundation Symposium on Bioscience, entitled “The New Normal of Translation: Emerging Hidden Dimensions of Gene Expression,” brings together researchers studying translation from diverse perspectives, ranging from molecular mechanisms and regulatory principles to proteome diversity, disease relevance, and therapeutic innovation. Through interdisciplinary discussions, this symposium aims to provide a platform for shaping new conceptual and technical frameworks in translation research.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we cordially invite you to participate in this symposium and look forward to stimulating discussions and exchanges of ideas.
